Our Land —
The Veneto Hills

Stone house surrounded by tall cypress trees and lush greenery in a misty hilly landscape.

Italy has no shortage of beautiful regions, and most international buyers find their way to the same ones. Tuscany and Puglia are beloved for good reason — but they are, in essence, retreat destinations. Life there is slow by design, and largely by necessity. The Veneto is something different: a region that has never stopped working. Its cities are economically alive, its cultural institutions active year-round, its international connections genuine rather than seasonal. For a buyer seeking the textures of Italian life — not a curated version of it — this distinction matters enormously.

Within this region, three hill territories rise from the Venetian plain with a character entirely their own. The Colli Euganei, the Colli Berici, and the Prosecco Hills of Treviso are not interchangeable — each carries a distinct landscape, a distinct history, and a distinct proposition for those who choose to live or invest here. Together, they form the densest concentration of UNESCO Heritage in Italy, with Venice, Padova, Vicenza, and the Dolomites all within a 90-minute radius.

Padova
Volcanic in origin and protected as Italy's first Regional Park, the Colli Euganei are among the most quietly extraordinary landscapes in northern Italy. Eighty-one hills draped in olive groves and DOC vineyards rise from ancient geological substrata, while nearby Abano and Montegrotto Terme form Europe's largest thermal spa district — drawing three million visitors a year. Venice is 45 minutes away. For those seeking natural rarity paired with genuine wellness infrastructure, few settings on the continent compare.

Colli Berici — Vicenza

Vicenza
A limestone ridge south of Vicenza, the Colli Berici were the chosen retreat of Venetian nobility — and the Palladian villas and Renaissance estates they left behind remain among the most coveted addresses in the Veneto. Three UNESCO World Heritage cities sit within easy reach: Vicenza a few minutes away, Verona and Venice equally accessible. Berici DOC wines, white truffle, and the celebrated tradition of bacalà alla vicentina anchor a lifestyle of understated refinement. Of the three territories, it is the most quietly connected.

Prosecco Hills — Treviso

Treviso
Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2019, the Conegliano–Valdobbiadene hills are one of Italy's most visually arresting landscapes — terraced ciglioni vineyards cascading across hillsides that produce 90 million bottles of DOCG Prosecco Superiore each year. Treviso is close; the Dolomites are within reach. The nearby towns of Asolo, Follina, and Possagno complete a proposition that is as much about culture and mountain recreation as it is about wine.
